How often should I train?
Ideally, you should train for 45 minutes of sustained exercise for a minimum of 3 times a week, but 60 minutes, 5 times a week would be perfect. However, we are not all able to do this, so lets be realistic here. The more you can do, the better. But remember, that you do need to build rest days into your program.
A Personal Trainer is the ideal person to give you the information and motivatoin that you need to get the fit and healthy body that you want and deserve.
But how often I hear you ask
Some people lack the self discipline to do any exercise without first making an appointment with some one. For you, that may mean seeing a personal trainer several times a week. This can get expensive, so the best way to overcome this is to enroll the help of a friend who you can make the appointment with. People are far less likely not to turn up for a meeting with a friend, as they do not wish to let them down.
Other people have all the motivation, but may just need a little guidance in how or what to do.
Taking all this in to concideration, I see clients from three times to twice a week, and from once a week to once a month. What matters is what is best for you.
